Nine 135 ft. long bow-string trusses, spaced at 25 ft. centres, form the main portion of the supermarket's roof framing. Seven 25 ft. long open- web rafter spans spaced 22 ft. 6 in. apart at one end, and nine rafter-type spans at the same spacing at the other end, were erected to form the side lean-tos.

Air Conditioned

The entire building is air-condition- ed. Built-in cold storage facilities have a capacity of 14 tons, there be- ing five cold rooms, each maintained at different controlled temperatures.
