Cover: A precast, prestressed beam, span- ning 50ft, and weighing 12 tons, being lifted to position on the top floor of a 12-storey factory complex at Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong. The lifting boom sits on the topmost beam already placed and joined, Peter Y.S. Pun & Associates designed the 360,000 sq.ft. factories and the construc- tion system of precast, prestressed units combined with slipformed services cores. The factories are being built for Textile Alliance Ltd.
