A revolutionary new approach!

A revolutionary new approach to the waterproof- ing of concrete below ground has quickly become established with the development of Serviseal.

-

This provides a grid which covers all joints below ground with a continuous flexible band, the scientifically designed section permanently and positively preventing the ingress of water AT THE WATERFACE

No Water at Reinforcing Steel Since SERVISEAL is on the outside, it prevents corrosive ground waters from getting at and weakening the reinforcing steel in the joint.

Positive Placement

Easy to get intimate contact around the sealing surface of SERVISEAL since the concrete has to contact one side only for waterproofing and does not have to be carefully vibrated into place underneath, as in the case of centrally placed waterstop.

SERVISEAL

Strength of Joint Unimpaired · Since the joint is not bisected by the waterstop, the joint is not weakened.

Since

Not Subject to Displacement during Pouring SERVISEAL is positioned and firmly backed up by the form work on blinding base, it cannot be bent over or dislodged under the weight of concrete when the concrete is being placed. Obviously if a waterstop is dislodged or bent over, it will not perform the function for which it was intended.

Base of Inspection Because SERVISEAL is positioned before the reinforcing steel is placed, inspection of joints, etc., before pouring of concrete is easier to accomplish.

No Split Formwork Since SERVISEAL is simply nailed to the vertical forms or usually just positioned on the blinding base for horizontal work, there is no necessity to use split forms, as in the case of centrally placed waterstop, thus eliminating much costly labour from the operation.

Since, as

No Threading through Reinforcing Steel mentioned before, SERVISEAL is placed prior to positioning of the reinforcing steel, the arduous task of threading through the reinforcing steel, as in the case of the conventional waterstop, is eliminated.

Lower Cost Installation SERVISEAL is simply nailed onto the formwork or positioned on the blinding base.

OUTSIDE the concrete Minimises Delays

SERVISEAL can be positioned after the formwork is in place and before the reinforcement is brought in. Because of its simple installation, the time saved is valuable to the contractor working against a completion date. Concrete can be poured immediately the reinforcing is ready. Positive Placement

It is easier to get intimate contact between the concrete and SERVISEAL, without the necessity for the time-consuming operation associated with trying to ensure intimate contact between the concrete and centrally- placed waterstops.
