A sliding sleeve-type clutch stops the machine the instant the operator releases the handle but does not shut off the engine. This feature allows the machine to be started in any throttle position.

A handle-mounted blade pitch con- trol knob lets the operator adjust the pitch of the blades even while the blades are revolving.

WELDING SET

Higher Speed and Greater Penetration

A RECENT addition to the Esab range of semi-automatic welding units is the A9 400 unit. It is based ลด the

A9 200 company's

and A9 275 machines but uses a larger

Esab A9/400 welding set

welding rectifier. Higher welding speeds. greater penetration and grea- ter deposition rates are thus achieved and thicker plates can be welded.

The A9 400, like the smaller units carries all welding elements

weld- ing wire, current and gas in a flexible conduit which gives greater manoeuvrability and less strain the operator.

The unit is suitable for short-arc and spray-arc welding and is supplied
