DEVELOPED for the high speed sur- face cleaning of large carpeted areas such as offices and conference halls, the Carpet Roamer 220E has a 22in. sweeping width and can clean up to 19.500 sq. ft. an hour.
Its intake housing is adjustable to from % in. to 2in. above the floor. allowing it to handle cigarette packets and foodstuffs. An adjustable carpet shoe is also fitted for picking up much finer litter.
The unit is 31in. long and 23 in. wide and has two Sin. hard rubber rollers in front making it highly manoeuvrable. For congested areas a 3in. hose with wide-mouth vacuum tool can be attached. Power is sup- plied by a 1 h.p. electric motor with overload protector.

Pre-construction Primer Protects Steel from Rust
EXPANDITE Metal Primer E.P., a two-part cold curing epoxy primer for steel, which gives protection from corrosion and can be overcoated with any other paint, has been developed by the Expandite Anti-Corrosion Laboratories, Bracknell, Berks, UK.
Available in three grades, for ap- plication by brush, spray or elec- trostatic spray, the primer is par- ticularly valuable for priming steel- work before fabrication. It is resis- tant to the high temperatures involved in cutting and welding operations and does not affect weld quality.
