This floor is specially given entire- ly to the officials, royalties and VIP guests. The boxes are all air-condi- tioned and some have movable alum- inium and glass partitions which can he slid away to double the size of the box.
The committee room is also on this third floor, while the racing stewards' box is on a mezzanine floor above the third floor, together with the photo-

camera rooms.
The front glass, enclosing all the boxes in the second, third and mez- zanine floors, is a special toughened French glass about % in. thick. It does not break like ordinary glass but shatters into small pieces which do not cut. Another feature of this glass is that it is installed without any in- termediate supporting transomes mullions.
