DEVELOPERS SOUGHT AT JURONG
BUKIT Peropok (Water Tower Hill) in the Jurong industrial estate, Singapore, is to be developed in order to encourage investors to take part in further expansion of the estate.
The Economic Development Board, which is in charge of the estate, has called on private developers to put up schemes for providing a complex with facilities such as hotels, lookout points, restaurant, cafe, camera obscura, and tourist centre, on the hilltop and its im- mediate surrounding area.
The new Chinese YMCA building in Waterloo Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong, officially opened last month by the Governor, Sir David Trench. The 18-storey reinforced concrete framed struc- ture was designed by Wong, Ng, Auyang & Associates. The contractors were Cheung Hing Co. Ltd.
