ALL CONTACT PINS are permanently fixed to the

moulded bridge for quick and easy wiring-a design feature of all MK plugs.

TERMINAL STUDS are integral extensions of the contact

pins and provide direct 'wrap round connection. Patented clamping nuts with captive rotating washers ensure a sound electrical connection.

ADJUSTABLE FLEX-GRIPS are suitable for all

sizes and types of flexible.

COVER FIXING SCREW is captive in the moulded

bridge and is fitted with a shake-proof lock washer to prevent loosening of the cover.

CARTRIDGE FUSE-LINKS are to BS 1362 and are

completely enclosed within the plug for absolute safety.

FINGER SHIELDS are extended to the maximum size.

No. 555 is supplemented by spring loaded retractable insulating sleeves which shroud the current carrying pins. This guards against the possibility of touching the current carrying pins whilst inserting or withdrawing the plug from a socket-outlet.
