DOOR CLOSER
Variations in Temperature Do Not Affect Closing Speed
THE recently-introduced Yale Flat- form G32 series of door-closers can be mounted on either wooden or metal doors and readily adjusted for either left or right-hand fixing. The door's closing speed is not affected by variations in temperature.
The G32 can be used on 2 ft. 6 in. by 6 ft. 6 in. doors, weighing up to 90 lb.; the G33 on 2 ft. 8 in. by 7 ft. doors, of 120 lb. maximum weight; and the G34 on outside doors 3 ft. by 7 ft. or heavy inside doors 3 ft. 4 in. by 7 ft., both weighing 150 lb.
Suitable for top-jamb installations on outward-opening doors, the closers are designed to give a standard open- ing of between 90 and 150 deg. Ad- justments can be made without dis- connecting either the main or fork arms. The closer is made of cast

Two sizes, 20 in. wide by 15 in. from front to back and 22 in. by 18 in., are available, both with 11⁄21⁄2 in. wastes.

Roof-mounted Extractor for Multi-storey Blocks
A NEW Duplex toilet extract unit is designed to ventilate bathrooms and w.c's. sited internally in a
multi- storey building. Acoustic treatment of the suction attenuation chamber and outlet cowl keeps noise down.
Ten different models are available, with capacities ranging from 295 to 1.750 c.f.m. Suction is provided by direct-drive axial-flow fans which draw steam and air from each floor
Duplex extract unit
through ducts and eject them at roof level. Duplicate fans are provided as standard, each linked to an auto- matic change-over starter unit; only one is in operation at a time, but in the event of a failure the other cuts in automatically.
The Duplex has been designed to require little maintenance; it can be supplied either fitted with perman- ently-sealed bearings or with easily- reached lubrication points that require greasing only once a year. Dimensions are 27 in. by 24 in. by 411⁄2 in. high; spigots to connect it to ducting range up to 11 in. in dia. The unit is made from reinforced glass fibre and stain- less steel.

Besides its use for applying panels and furring strips, it may be used for fastening underlay, attaching stair treads, risers and thresholds, adding chair rails to walls, and similar jobs requiring a material of great bonding strength.
