Under Personal Emoluments, the Estimate for 1965-66 shows an increase of $424,200 over the Revised Estimate for 1964-65. This is due to some vacancies for Crown Counsel remaining unfilled for most of the 1964-65 financial year.

In anticipation of the vacancies for Crown Counsel being filled during 1965-66, the Other Charges Annually Recurrent Estimates show a decrease, as it is expected that fewer Counsel in private practice will be briefed.

Under Special Expenditure a further provision of $60,000 is included to purchase legal publica- tions for the departmental library.
