The marked increase in the revised estimate for 1963-64 is mainly contributed by the subheads "Premia on new leases-private treaty grants" increase of $5,500,000, "Premia on modification of existing leases, exchanges and extensions" increase of $19,600,000; "Premia on re-grants of expired 75 years or shorter leases" increase of $22,500,000. The revenue from "Premia on new lease-sales by public auction and tender" is less than expected due to larger number of payments by instalments instead of lump sum payments, This trend is expected to continue in 1964-65.
