The post of Deputy Registrar, Supreme Court ($2,100-4,300) has been replaced by 2 posts, one of Deputy Registrar, Supreme Court ($4,700) and one of Assistant Registrar, Supreme Court ($2,100 – 3,820), the extra post being provided to cope with the increasing volume of work.

1 additional post each of Secretary Stenographer, Clerk and Office Attendant are required for the Deportation and Detention Advisory Tribunal. The 2 remaining new posts of Secretary Stenographer are provided for the Causeway Bay Magistracy and the North Kowloon and Fanling Magistracies. Of the remain- ing additional posts of Clerk and Typist, two of each are offset by the reduction of an equivalent number of supernumerary posts and 1 new post in each grade is included for the Kowloon District Court and the Court Reporters Office respectively.

One additional post each of Clerical Assistant and Messenger are required for the Fanling District Court and Tsuen Wan Magistracy respectively and the 15 additional posts of Watchmen are for the Bailiffs Office.

Under Other Charges Annually Recurrent, additional provision is included to cover rent of leased premises for the Tsuen Wan Magistracy.
