One additional post of Houseboy Class I and one additional post of Amah Class III have been provided for Fanling Lodge.
Two Houseboys Class I are permanently required due to the increase of work in Government House; these posts have been transferred from supernumerary staff to the permanent establishment.
Extraneous Duties Allowances are paid to a Secretary Stenographer, a Houseboy and an Amah acting as Private Secretary, H.E.'s valet and Lady's maid respectively. Provisions for these purposes were previously included under Acting Pay and Overtime Allowances. Overtime allowances to four Chauffeurs are now also provided under Extraneous duties allowances.
Increases under Other Charges Annually Recurrent are attributable to Fanling Lodge and to underestimating in previous years.
