18 posts in the combined grade of Senior Assistant Master, Assistant Master and Certificated Master were approved during the year, and 22 new posts are required for the following:—

I for Adult Education

2 for Special Schools Section

5 for Chinese Middle School at former La Salle Premises

11 for Junior Secondary School at former La Salle Premises

1 for Island Road Government School

1 for Pok Fu Lam Primary School Extension

1 for Victoria Technical School

Of the thirteen posts of Primary School Master, 3 were approved during the year, and 10 new posts are required for the schools listed below:-

1 for Arsenal Street Police School

1 for Island Road Government School

7 for Pok Fu Lam Primary School Extension

1 for Sha Tau Kok Government School

One post of Senior Education Officer (Woman) is for the Ho Tung Technical School offset by

reduction of one post of Education Officer (Woman) in the following paragraph.

There is a net increase of 12 posts in the combined grade of Education Officer (Woman), Mistress and Assistant Education Officer (Woman). 4 posts were approved during the year, one existing post is replaced by one Senior Education Officer (Woman), but 9 new posts are required—

1 for Special Schools Section

1 for Ho Tung Technical School Extension

1 for King George Vth School

3 for Kowloon Junior School

1 for Northcote Training College

2 for Yuen Long Public Middle School Extension

Seven posts in the combined grade of Senior Assistant Mistress, Assistant Mistress and Cer-

tificated Mistress are required:-

1 for Adult Education

4 for Ho Tung Technical School

2 for Pok Fu Lam Primary School Extension.

Three out of 23 posts of Primary School Mistress were approved during the year, and the remaining 20 posts are required for the schools listed below:-

2 for Arsenal Street Police School

2 for Island Road Government School

13 for Pok Fu Lam Primary School Extension

2 for Sha Tau Kok Primary School

1 for Tai Po Primary School

The net increase in the combined grade of Education Officer (Technical), Master (Technical) and Assistant Education Officer (Technical) is 4 posts. Three existing posts are upgraded and replaced by three new posts of Organizer and seven posts are required for the following purposes in the Technical College.

1 for Building Diploma Course

1 for Business Management Course

1 for Electrical Engineering Department

1 for Mathematics & Physics Department

1 for Mechanical Engineering Department

1 for Textile Department

1 for the operation and maintenance of machinery and

equipment in the Technical College
