Exchange.

The rate of exchange for Sterling Salaries is four-fifths at 1/9 and one-fifth at 3/-, and for other sterling items 3/-.

In the case of Dollar Salaries, carrying Exchange Compensation, since the dollar is reckoned at 3, the same value as the compensated dollar for officers paid in dollars, it has been possible to show a sterling equivalent for the dollar salary in each case, and calculate as above, i.e., four-fifths at 1/9 and one-fifth at 3/-. The Exchange Com- pensation items, previously shown separately, have thus disappeared.
