Exchange.

The rate of exchange for Sterling Salaries is four-fifths at 1/9 and one-fifth at 3/-, and for other, sterling items 3/-.

In the case of Dollar Salaries, carrying Exchange Compensation, since the dollar is reckoned at 3-, the same value as the compensated dollar for officers paid in dollars, it has been possible to show a sterling equivalent for the dollar salary in each case, and calculate as above, i.e., four-fifths at 19 and one-fifth at 3-. The Exchange Com- pensation items, previously shown separately, have thus disappeared.
