On of the newer concepts in ship design and

托船「Hawea」號將以嶄新姿 cargo andling as represented by the T.S.M.V.

熊面世,因其除有最新穎之設 計外,並裝置有關起卸貨物之 特殊設備。運車輛,交通工 具及油桶等,可不斷起卸,絕 不感困難。該船經於本年十月 間完成並移交紐西蘭之於仁船 務公司。

將踏入噴射時代之明日

解剖學應用於太古船塢 西澳州官方所擁有之摩托船 「Dongara」號,二千四百五十 九噸,於本年八月十七日駛抵 太古船塢以便加卅呎之船身 及大事修葺。該工程經已完妥 並交回其船東。該船於本年十 月廿一日駛離本港,新重量為 三一五〇噸。

加促明天一切之速率

為迎合新潮流之需要,增加 起卸貨物之便利與及儘量減少 在各港口停泊之時間,最現代 之起卸設備已由太古船塢裝置 於多利順代理之芬船輪船公司 所擁有之「芬州」Fernstate 及 「芬湖]Fernlake號弍艘。該船

August,1967, to be lengthened by 30-ft. and to

undergo extensive repairs and modifications. She was completed, returned to her Owners and sailed approx. 3,150

Speeding up Tomorrow's Turn Around

To meet the modern trend in cargo handling and the reduction of time spent in port, recent conversions were carried out by Taikoo Dockyard on two ship of the Fern Line "Fernstate" and "Fernlake”. This involved the fitting of flush single pull ding hatch covers in the upper and lower tween decks and two hydraulically operated side ports with loading platforms.
