Changsha, and Chungking within four, eight, and six days respectively from Yunnanfu. The Yunnan Annam Railway had a good year owing to increases both in passenger and freight traffic. In this connexion, it may be mentioned that the Sino- Japanese conflict resulted in an influx of people into Yunnanfu, coming either by the Yunnan Annam Railway or by the overland route via Changsha and Kweiyang. The Sino-British Joint Border Demarcation Commission, which began its investiga- tion work in December 1935, completed its task in April 193 when the final report, delimitating the boundary between Yunnan and Burma, was signed. About three- fifths of the disputed area has been allocated to China.
