IMPORTS

As will have been seen above, the value of the import trade declined by 10.8 per cent., from $1,030 million in 1934 to $919 million in 1935. The following table shows the net imports from abroad for the years 1933, 1934, and 1935 arranged according to the main groupings in the "Monthly Returns of the Foreign Trade of China" and according to the order of importance of these groupings during the year under review.
