NANNING-KOUANG-TCHEOU-WAN

TRADE IN 1933

A491

Trading conditions at Nanning during the year were better than in the previous year, the peacefulness of the province being a favourable factor, and financial stringency, superimposed upon a depreciated currency, being amongst the more obviously unfavourable factors. The total value of that portion of the trade of Nanning taken cognizance of by the Customs increased from 6.8 million dollars in 1932 to 73. million dollars in 1933.
