LEGALISED TARIFF OF FARES FOR TAXIS, CHAIRS, JIN- RICKSHAS, BOATS, &c., IN THE COLONY OF HONGKONG
The fares prescribed for public vehicles are as follows:-
40 cents for the first mile and 10 cents for every quarter of a mile thereafter any distances.
TAXICAB FARES
The fare for the hiring of a motor cab fitted with a taximeter shall be according to the following scale :-
A. For a distance not exceeding one mile...

"1st Class Boats " are those measuring 30 feet and over in length. "2nd Class Boats" are those measuring from 20 to 30 feet in length. "All other Boats are those of under 20 feet in length.
