White rape seed-cake maintained its position, rape seed slumped owing to large stocks released at Wuhu consequent on the lifting of the ban placed on the export by the Anti-Japanese Association there.

The net value of the trade of the port passing through the Maritime Customs in 1929 was Hk. Tls. 19,458,780, as compared with Hk. Tls. 15,417,736 in 1928, Hk. Tls. 19,222,490 in 1927, Hk. Tls. 20,013,978 in 1926, Hk. Tls. 18,902,189 in 1925, and Hk. Tls. 15,853,304 in 1924. This represents only a portion of the total trade of the port, a quantity of which does not come under the jurisdiction of the Customs.
