December, 1921. The Chinese and European school dates back to 1900. The gross value of the trade of the port passing through the Maritime Customs in 1924 was Hk. Tls. 15,854,917, as compared with Hk. Tls. 22,726,765 in 1923, and Hk. Tls. 26,364,207 in 1922. But this represents only a portion of the total trade of the port, a quantity of which does not come under the jurisdiction of the Customs.
