PERAK

The export of tin in 1920 amounted to 368,097 piculs and the value to $55,210,934. Under coconuts there were about 95,633 acres. Practically the whole dealt between the Bernam and Perak rivers has been alienated for cultivation, and in a few years this vast plain, which was formerly dense jungle, will present an unbroken field of coconut palms.

The total area under rubber at the end of 192) amounted to 339,260 acres. The export of rubber in 1920 was 38,052 tons (valued at $67,860,428), against 41,580 tons in 1919.
