41.-POLICY OF Risk Note (insurance) for each copy, and every renewal :—

(a) Life Insurance (including Interim Receipts),

(b) Marine, Hull Risks for Time,

(c) All other Insurances (Fire, Marine or otherwise`,

42.-POWER OF ATTORNEY, or Revocation of Power of Attorney.

25 cents for every $1,000 or part

thereof insured,

"Where the amount insured does not

43.—PROBATE, or Letters of Administration, with or without the will annexed, to be calculated upon the value of the estate and effects for or in respect of which .such Probate or Letters of Administration shall be granted, exclusive of what the deceased shall have been possessed of or entitled to as a Trustee for any person or persons and not beneficially:-

(a) Where the estate and effects are above the value of two hundred and fifty dollars and not above the value of one thousand dollars, ..

(b) Where the estate and effects are above the value of one thousand dollars and not above the value of ten thousand dollars,

(c) Where the estate and effects are above the value of ten thousand dollars and not above the value of one hundred thousand dollars,..

(d) Where the estate and effects are above the value of one hundred thousand dollars and not above the value of two hundred and fifty thousand dollars,......

(e) Where the estate and effects are above the value of two hundred and fifty -thousand dollars and not above the value of five hundred thousand dollars,

(f) Where the estate and effects are above the value of five hundred thousand dollars and not above the value of seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars, ....

(g) Where the estate and effects are above the value of seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars and not above the value of one million dollars,

(h) Where the estate and effects are above the value of one million dollars and not above the value of one million five hundred thousand dollars,

(i) Where the estate and effects are above the value of one million five hun- dred thousand dollars and not above the value of two million five hundred- -thousand dollars,

() Where the estate and effects are above the value of two million five hun- dred thousand dollars, .

At the rate of one dollar for every one hundred dollars and for every frac- tional part of one hundred dollars over any multiple of one hundred dollars. At the rate of two dollars for every one hundred dollars and for every fractional part of one hundred dol- lars over any multiple of one hun- dred dollars. At the rate of three dollars for every one hundred dollars and for every fractional part of one hundred dol. lars over any multiple of one hun- dred dollars.

EXEMPTION.—Where the Estate and Effects do not exceed the value of two hundred and fifty dollars. Any grant of Probate or letters of administration in respect of the Estate of any deceased person which estate at the death of such person comprises land subject to the New Territories Ordinance, 1905, is so far as the value such land itself is Concerned but not further.

45.—RECEIPT or Discharge given for the payment of money, or in acquittal of a dcbt paid in money or otherwise, when the sum received, discharged, or . acquitted exceeds $10,

5 cents.

EXEMPTIONS.-Letter acknowledging the arrival of a Currency or Promissory Note, Bill of Exchange, or any security for money, Receipt or Debit Note for the Premium on a duly stamped Policy of Insurance. Receipts for pay and allowances of persons in the service of the Imperial or Colonial Government whether Civil, Naval, ol Military.
