HONGKONG POSTAL GUIDE.-OBSERVATIONS.

70.--Parcels for Sath are liable to disembarkation at Mogador. Parcels for Alcazar and Fez, which are disem- barke at Tangier, and parcels for Marrakesh, which are disembarked at Mazagan, should be addressed to the care of the British Post Onice at the port of disembarkation, The addre, sees must make their own arrangements for payment of Customs duty and for onward conveyance from Tangier or Mazagan as the case may be. Such con- veyance is at addressees' risk and expense.

74.-Parcels are accepted for Corinto, San Juan del Sur, Managua, Leon, Chinandega, Ocotal, Somoto, Mata- galpa, Jinotegoa, Granada, Juigalpa, Masaya, Rivas and Jinotepe. If the value of goods contained in a parcel or in several parcels sent by the same mail by one sender for the same addressee exceeds 10 piastres (or £10) the declaration must be certified by a Nicaraguan Consul, Parcels must be sealed and strongly packed.

75.-The conveyance of parcels to places in Northern Nigeria is at the risk of the addressees, who also have to pay on denvery additional charges for mland conveyance to all places except Lokoja and Zungeru.

Parcels addressed to the Postal Agencies mamtained by the Indian Post Oiee at Bushire, Bunder abbas, Jask, Linga and Mohammerah are accept- ed 11 prepaid at the rate of postage for India, but the ad- dress of such parcels may not include a request for

redirection.

82. The Post Office of either of the contracting coun- tries wij not be responsible tor the loss or damage of any parcel.

S1-lusurance confined to parcels for Beira, Chini-Chai,Chinde, In- hambane, Lorenzo Marques, Macrquere, Mazambique, and Quilimane Parecis way be accepted for any place, but delivery is confined to Angoche, beira, Bella Vista (Maputus, Catembe, Chai-Chai, Chibuto, Chine, The, Inhambane, Macequece, Lorenzo Marques, Macuana, Marionico, Mozambique. Mossuntl, Mutarara, Porto Amelia, Quili- Niang, Sena, jete, Vili Latiza Marracuene, and addressees of parcels for other places minst claim them at one of these pl»ers.

85. -Parcels are accepted for the following places : Aldana, Angediva. Bicholim. Calvalfe, Canacona, Can- sali, Chandor, Chiuchinine. Collein, Dameo, Damao (place, Din, Majorda, Mapuea, Margao, Mo, mugas, Nagarively, Nova Gon, Perùcm, Piedade, Ponda, Pro- vorine, Quepem, Saligao, Sandorvem, Sanquem, San- que him, Santo Estevam, Siolim. Tivim, Valpoy, Vetlin-Goa, Insurance confined to parecis for Nova-tion, Mapucá. Margão and Marmugão,

86.-Insurance confined to parcels for Benguela, Bolama, Cabinda, Loanda, Mossamedes, Novo Redondo, St. Thomé. 87.-The service extends to La Pointe des Galets, Saint Denis, Saint Paul, and Saint Pierre. Parcels for other

places must be claimed at one of these offices.

-A charge of 18., for Stamp duty, clearance, &c., is levied for every dutiable parcel entering Southern Rhodesia, &c, and a similar fee on all parcels entering N. E. and N. W. Rhodesia. "The address of parcels für Rhodesia must indicate whether the place of destination is in Southern, North-western or North Eastern Khodesia. Parcels for North-Eastern Rhodesia should be strongly parked, and should have an outer wrapper of waterproof paper or canvas. Cardboard boxes should not be used. When extra protectiou is necessary, articles should be packed in wooden boxes. The procedure necessary to secure a rebate of Customs duty on British goods is the same as for Cape Colony.

$9.- Parcels must be packed in wood, tin, canvas, linen, or similar material, and not merely in paper or caruboard. Contents should be described in detail in French on the Customs Declaration, according to the terms of the Ronmanian tariff.

The value and net weight of each kind of article or goods should be stated.

90 Parcels must be packed in wood, tiu, canvas, linen, or similar material and not merely in paper or cardboard, Parcels not packed in wooden or metal boxes must be covered with canvas, liuen, or oilcloth (not linen faced paper) sewu np at the Haps and folds, and secured with string sealed at the knots and ends, Wooden boxes must be of stout material, well screwed or nailed together at the sides, top and bottom. Articles composed of cellulold Addresses must be packed in boxes of wood or etal. must be clearly written. The name of the town and provine · should be added in English, French or German. A separate Despatch Note and Separate Customs Declarations must be prepared for each pareci. Customs Declarations must show the gross weight (in grammes) of the parcel, including the packing, and the total value of the parcel must be stated. A separate entry must be made of each kind of article of goods, describing precisely in each case the quality according to the commercial denomination, the quantity (according to ordinary trade usage), by number, measurement, and net weight (in grammes) and the value both in Russian and in English currency. Neglect of these regulations will lead to the rejection of the parcel by the Russian Customs and its return to the Sender,

Sine Foul and Velingara hable to delivery charge. Parcels recepted for all places, but must be claimed at places mentioned above, French Soudan.-- Uninsured parcels only. Service extends to Bafoulabe, Bamako, Bandiagara, Banforn, Bobo-Dioulasso, Bougoni, Pori, Fada, N'Gourma, Gaona, Gounibon, Ginundam, Katı, Kayes, Kita, Konlikoro, Koniy, Medine, Mopti, Njafounke, Niamey, Nioro, DungLadougou, Sin Say, Segou, Sikasso, Sokolu, Tombouctou, and Tonkoto, l'arccis neerpted for any place, but anuressees must claim at nearest delivery office; name of office must be included in nidress, Parcels for all places linhle to delivery charges.

4. The value entered in the Customs Declaration must be stated in Indian currency.
