RULE FOR CALCULATING ad valorem DUTIES,
Import du ies nayablo ad valorem under this Tariff shall be calculated on the actual cost of the art cle it the place of purchase, production, or fabricaton, with the addition of the cost of insurance and transportation from the ice of purchas, production, or fbrication, to the port of discharge, as well as commission, if any exists.
RULE FOR THE MEASUREMENT OF Tissues.
In de ermining the dutisble width of any tisses the Customs shall discard all fractions of an inch not exceeding half-an-inch, and shall count as a full inch all frictions exce ding hilf-an-inch
NOTE.--It is understood that selvedges shall not be included in the measurement of tissues.
