AN ACT For Extending and AMENDING THE FOREIGN

JURISDICTION ACTS [16TH AUGUST, 1878.]

Br it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: (that is to say),-

Act. & short titles

1.-(1.) This Act shall be construed as one with the Foreign Juris. Constraction of diction Acts 1843 to 1875, and those Acts, together with this Act, may be 67 Vict., . cited as the Foreign Jurisdiction Acts, 1843 to 1878, and this Act may be cited separately as the Foreign Jurisdiction Act, 1878.

(2.) The Acts whereof the titles are given in the First Schedule of this Act may be cited by the respective short titles given in that Schedule.

2.-The Acts mentioned in the Second Schedule to this Article are Repeal of enact- hereby repealed to the extent in the third column of that Schedule men- Schedale. tioned; provided that,―

(1.) Any Order in Council, commission, or instructions made or issued in pursuance of any enactment hereby repealed, and

in force at the passing of this Act, shall continue in force until altered or revoked by Her Majesty; and

(2.) This repeal shall not affect anything done or suffered, or any right accrued or liability incurred before the passing of this Act; and

(3.) Any action, suit, or other proceeding affected by any enact- ment hereby repealed may be carried on in like manner as if this Act had not been passed.

3.-(1.)
