ECLIPSES.
In the year 1869 there will be two Eclipses of the Sun, and two of the Moon, but only one of them visible at Greenwich, viz.: Of the Moon, January 28th, commence 0.29 A.M., middle 1.38; end 2.47.
February 11th.-Sun, visible only in South of Africa and America.
July 22nd.-Moon.
August 17th.-Sun, visible only in parts of North America and China.
RULES TO KNOW WHEN THE MOVEABLE FEASTS Occur,
Easter Day, on which the rest depends, is always the first Sunday after the first full moon, which happens after the 21st day of March. If the full moon happens upon a Sunday, Easter Day is the Sunday after. Advent Sunday is always the nearest Sunday to the Feast of St. Andrew, whether before or after. Rogation Sunday is Five weeks after Easter. Ascension Day is Forty days after Easter.
Whit Sunday is Seven weeks after Easter. Trinity Sunday is Eight weeks after Easter.
