C. COWPEN, of Whamroa Dock YARD, Wuamroa, begs to intimate to his friends
in China, and to Commanders of Vessels visit- ing foxgrosa and WhAMPOA, that ho hag recommenced business at his old. Establishment, SPRING GARDess, Hongkang, in connection with his Dry Docks at Wuampos, and he is prepared to undertake all descriptions of Repairs required by either Wooden or Iron Ships, and also ordi- nary repairs to Steam Machinery and BoiLLAS, The Docks un Dane's Island, Whampoa, con. Bist of one length of Dock 500 feet, 75 feet wide at the gate, with 17 feet to 17 feet & inches water on the sill at spring tides. This Dock is fittted with two Caissoons, and can be used as one or two Docks, according to the length of the vessel jentering it. Uɩ is pumped out by a complete set of powerful steam jumps, and in dried in about -six hours after the Caissoon is plaçu,
There is a STEAM FACTORY and Foundry in connection with thus Dock, and all ordinary re- pairs to Machinery, and every description of Blacksmith's Work, as well as repairs to the bot- toms of Irun Vessels, are executed with despatch.
