CHUNGKING, June 15 (Reuter) Shiplocks and dams

Hwal River and the Grand Canal, constructed at a cost of over $24,- 500,000, part of which was borrow ed from the British Boxer In- demnity Fund, are reported to have been destroyed by the Japan- cse in Northern Klangsu.

This is according to information reaching here yesterday,

The destroyed works included three shiplocks at Shaopeb, Hwal- ying and Luliaochien, as well as the Chungshan Canal through part of the Hwal River, and also five unfinished dams and ship- locks.
