BROUGHT ON DECK OF GERMAN RAIDER TO SEE OWN SHIP SUNK
LONDON, June 15 (Reuter)--The captain and seven members of the crew of the British steamer KEMMENDINE, sunk by а German raider in the Indian Ocean on July 13, 1940, when voyaging from Capetown to Rangoon, landed at a British port on Saturday.
They said that the raider shelled the Kemmendine heavily and the crew and passengers had to take to the boats. The Germans took them aboard and then sauk the Kemmending with two torpe dors.
