BOTH THE VICHY NOTE AND THE BRITISH REPLY WERE PUBLISHED IN LONDON YESTERDAY, THE BRITISH MEMORANDUM SAYS IT IS NOT THE BRITISH, DESIRE THAT FRENCH BLOOD SHOULD BE SHED AND SUGGESTS IT WOULD BE IN THE INTERESTS OF BOTH COUNTRIES IF VICHY FORCES WERE TOLD TO OFFER NO RESİSTANCE TO THE BRITISH MEASURES TO PREVENT THE ENEMY USING SYRIA' AS A BASE.

BRITISH MEMORANDUM IN "No Collaboration" Says
