TWO MORE RECORDS CREATED AT SPORTING

THE SIXTH EXTRA RACE MEETING:

WEI AND CRAVEN SHINE ON THE SECOND DAY

Ticket No. 249508 Wins $110,930.40 In Special Dollar Sweep

Followers of the Sport of Kings turned out in full force for the SIXTH EXTRA MEETING, second day, of the HONGKONG JOCKEY CLUB at the Valley yesterday. This meeting was also the last before the summer recess which, this year, will extend to Sept. 27.

Fields were bigger than those on Saturday, some of the events attracting over 10 starters, but the LEAD MINE HANDICAP, second section, found only four ponies facing the starter, whilst the main event of the day-THE WHIT- SUN PLATE-saw only six stalwarts of the turf, entered by three owners, at the starting gate.

Times were, on the whole,
