And High Infant Mortality In Hongkong

BY HONGKONG JOURNALIST Mortality In

The Hongkong Rotary Club met at tiffin yesterday at the Hong-

kong Hotel Roof Garden when the speaker was Mr. H. Brokenshire who gave a very interesting and informative talk on "Gilbert and Sullivan."

Dr. Arthur W. Woo presided and among the Visiting Rotarians was Mr. R. E. Holttum of the Singapore Rotary Club who is travelling to the United States to attend the Rotary International Conference at Denver, Colorado, as District Governor, nominee for Malaya and Thailand,

Food prejudices among the less-educated classes of the Chinese population contribute to a great extent to the high infant mortality rate in the Colony and in China. DR. LYDIA FEHILY told a meet- ing of the Hongkong Nurses and Midwives Association at the Helena May Inst'tute yesterday evening.
