Prison Officers Club Score Decisive Win Over Kowloon C.C.: Indians Beat H.K.C.C.
11
BY "L. G."
THE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE LEAGUE BOWLS PROGRAMME LAST SATURDAY WERE THE MAXIMUM' FIVE POINTS scored by Recrelo "A" Craigengower and Hongkong Cricket Club over their respective opponents. The Prison Officers, last year's Third Division champions, continued in winning vein, beating the fairly strong Kowloon C.C. second string decisively at Stanley.
To prove that their victory over the demoted Police team in the Third Division the week before was no flash in the pan, tha Indian B.C. brought off another win. Their victim on Saturday was the Hongkang Football Club whom they beat by the narrow- est margin in spite of being down on two rinks. The man who “ saved the day for the Indians was S.M. (Sambo) Rumjahn whose ten shot win over P. C. Morgan enabled his team to scramble home by the shortest of noses.
