Canadians, English Forum In Exciting Battle: Chung Hwa Lose To Rookie Squad

were

A surprisingly large crowd of hardy softball enthusiasts turned ent at the Kowloon Football Club ground last Sunday morning and" well rewarded when the Canadian Chinese Club and the English Forum stiged an exciting battle that ended in favour of the latter by the narrow margin of three tallies to two. The knowledge that keen rivalry, existed between these two Chinese clubs was of course responsible for the good attendance.

Canuck supporters held fond hopes of seeing their squad win a rame for the first time this season as the Maple Leafs held a two- run lead at the end of the fifth frame, Gee Gee Lee having tallied In the third and Bill Ing in the first half of the fifth, but their hopes were not realised as the Forumers tled the count In the sixth and went on to win in the final stanza.
