J. M. Gosano Carries Bat For An Undefeated 75

BY "BARNABAS”.

AS THE RESULT OF THEIR UNEXPECTEDLY EASY VIC- TORY OVER RECREIO LAST. SATURDAY, THE KOWLOON C.C. are now in a practically unassailable position" and seem certain of retaining the Senior League Championship unless something untoward occurs in "thelt last match, which is against the Civli Service C.C." It they win this match (and I cannot see what can prevent them from doing so), the Championship is theirs. If they should lose or even draw, however, Craigengower will have a chance of taking a crack at the League honours. providing they win all three of their remaining matches

Kowloon C.C. won the toss and on the board for the loss of sent Recreló in to bat first on a wickets, soft and tricky wicket, Recrelo very soon lost the wicket of Luig!

S'pore Rifle Association Win Far East Trophy Match

The Far East Trophy Match, 1940, was won by the Singapore Rifle Association with 762 points, Hongkong Rifle Association taking second place with 760 points. The loss of this match may be attributed largely to the fact that there has been no practice with the aper- ture sight rifle this year, all shooting being done under "Service" conditions. Hongkong, however, won the Open Sight match with 668 points, Singapore following with 639 points.
