The two women plead not guilty to charges of conspiracy to make a false statement regarding a birth, causing false entry in a register of births, and to a charge of forgery under the Registry Act. Ireland, in evidence, sald. that her name was Marcia Florence Ireland, and her address Was Yukon-road, Balham. She had been engaged to Lord Haldon's. father, the previous Lord Haldon. She did not get to know the Lord Haldon mentioned in the case un- til January, 1938.

NULLITY. SUIT She had a suite of rooms at the Piccadilly Hotel, London. At that time she was married to Mr. Cuve Lynwood, There was a nullity suit against him down for hearing,. and Lord Haldon asked her to marry him immediately it was over. The auit came on May. 1938, and she was granted a decree against Lynwood, who was known as Lord Clive, the name which his friends called him.

In June, 1938, she and Lord Haldon went to Edinburgh and at the Royal Hotel were married, ac- cording to what Lord Haldon sald, was the Scottish law.
