AUSTRALIAN WAR EXPENDITURE

Eight Thousand

Pilots

Now In Training

AUSTRALIA'S EXPENDITURE IN ONE YEAR OF WAR was only a little less than the total expenditure during the WHOLE OF THE LAST YEAR. There were now 8.000-pilots in training and 150.000 munition workers in Australia compared with 2,700 in the last war.

These facts were disclosed by MR. R. G. MENZIES, Australian Prime Minister, who is now in Palestine en route for London where he is to confer with Mr. Churchill and Cabinet Ministers, states a London message.
