ARE OVER-RUN IN 30 HOURS

Hundred Thousand Prisoners Taken Since Campaign Began

TOBRUK HAS FALLEN COMPLETELY INTO THE HANDS OF BRITISH IM PERIAL FORCES AND THE CAPTURE HAS RESULTED IN THE TAKING OF 14,000 PRISONERS AS WELL AS 200 GUNS. BRITISH CASUALTIES WERE UNDER 500, STATES A LONDON MESSAGE.

Since Dec 9, when the Army of the Nile, under GENERAL SIR ARCHIBALD WAVELL, Commander-in-Chief in the Middle East, first operated against the Italians in Northern Africa, 100,000 PRISONERS have been taken and 11 Italian divisions ren- dered Ineffective.
