HOCKEY ASSCN. TOURNAMENT
UNIVERSITY CAUSE SURPRISE
The most attractive match on yesterday's
in the programme
Hockey Association Tournament. failed to come off.
The game between Royal Fi- gineers and Police "A", to have been played at Sookunpoo, falled to materialise to the annoyance of & good number of spectators who had turned out to watch.
However, University provided the day's surprise by holding of a strong AN. Others XI, with a star centre-forward and all the other trimmings, and by further denting what appeared to be a promising future for a newly re- organised team by scoring a single goal, The match was played at Pokfulam.
Jack Buchanan, British singe, screen, and radio star, with Can- dian compere Gerry Wilmot, broadcasting in the "Starlight" fea- ture of the BBC's Overseas short-wave service.
