This is in the Catholic Church one of the ohlef feasts of the Mother of Christ, but outside the Church the Immaculate meaning of it is very commonly munderstood. The Conception has nothing to do with the virgin birth of Mary's Son. but, as the words imply, refers to her conception without the stain of Original Sin.
