The first Soviet reference to the despatch of German troops to Rumania came from Moscow yesterday, according to a news bulletin from Daventry last night.

The Russian News Agency stated: "The Russian Gov- ernment has denied the report that the Soviet had been Ainformed of the despatch of German troops to Rumania by Berlin. The Russian Agency is authorised to say that this is not in accordance with the facts.".

All other Soviet organs of publicity have refrained from comment.
