Craigengower, who last won the Championship in 1936, have now only a very remote chance of finishing at the top of the table. To secure the right to a play-off they will have to beat Police. Civil Service and Kowloon Docks, while Recreld wil have to lose to the Tatter two clubs.

The annual meeting of the Hongkong Cricket League will be held this evening at the Urban Council Chamber, Post Office Building, when. It Is understood," à proposal will be put forward that League cricket be dropped entirely for the coming season.

As there does appear to be some demand for League cric- ket, even in modified form, it is unlikely that the proposal will meet with much support. Whatever modifications may have to be made, cricketers are looking forward to a Lea- gue this season
