HUGE RECONSTRUCTION LOAN FLOATED BY THE SZECHUEN GOVERNMENT

SHANGHAI, Aug, 26 (Reuter)—A $100,000,000 Economic Reconstruction-Loan has been "decided upon by the Sze- chuen Provincial Government, the NATIONAL HERALD learns. Of this amount, $40,000,000 will be issued some- time this year.

Allotments of the loan have been settled as follows:

$8,000,000 for the Szechuen Industrial Development Cor- poration;

$1,000,000 for the develop- ment of railways and high- ways;

$8,000,000 for the develop- ment of agriculture, irriga- tion, mining, communication, reclamation and the promo- tion of sanitation;

$2,600,000 for land survey; $5,000,000 for the establish- ment of a foodstuff co-opera- tive under the price control scheme, and,

$1,000,000 as a sinking fund for mining loans.

The Szechuan Provincial Govern- ment has also invested large sums in industrial and economic enter- prises promoted in the Province.
