ALTHOUGH A DEGREE OF SCEPTICISM IS QUITE APPARENT as to how much hockey there will be in the coming season. It is as equally apparent at present that there will be hockey.

Rumours of several old handsin the local hockey world having decided to retire from the game and lay down their sticks for good have been discounted by the old hands themselves, some of whom have expressed indignation at the suggestion that they are being con- sidered old for the game.
