Sixes And Sevens Galore: P.O.C. Upset At Home

Two 1940 records were shattered on Saturday when A. M. Rodri- ques Recreio rink (A. M. Silva, H. R. Pinna and C. M. S. Alves) chalked up 45 shots to beat the C.S.C.C. rink skipped by A. Stevens by 35 shots. The feat was all the more meritorious in that Rodri- gues was making his debut as a skip.
Another feature of Saturday's Lawn Bowls League programane was the number of upsets, the biggest one being the home defeat of the Prison Officers Club which cast them the leadership in the Third Division.
