LONDON, July 5 (Reuter)-The Stock Exchange resumed the up- ward movement of all groups fol- lowing news of the French Fleet.
There were useful gains in gen-i eral and some shortage of stock of leading industrials and gold- minings were reported.
Early in the afternoon activity was reduced owing to the immin-i ence of the Prime Minister's state- ment in the Commons, but bua- iness again increased shortly prior to the close of trading.
Wall Street was closed yester day.
