After ruling steady, the market eased on profit-taking and the absence of buyers, after which it was quietly steady,

NEW YORK COTTON: Price fixations are likely to continue to hold the near positions, while the more distant months will probably be affected by further Bombay straddle operations and new crop

news.

NEW YORK RUBBER: Realizing and hedging met with Trade buying on the scale down. The difficulty in shipping is still an out- standing factor.

CHICAGO WHEAT: Our open interest has increased 45,000,000 which would seem to indicate that the pubile has absorbed 'much of the liquidated loans and also in the meantime our price relation- ship has grown steadily worse, with no chance to sell wheat outside. of our own borders unless a heavyaubsidy is employed.
